There is the barest catch to his breath when Caleb finally touches him, a warm hand tentative on his waist at first, but then more confident in its pressure and the stroke of his thumb. Subtle as it all is, it has a startlingly powerful effect.
"I have not been to the Empire in a long time," he admits when Caleb mentions his accent and the city he's come from. Deftly, Yussa begins with the book harness. The leather is well-worn and cared for, which makes it easy to manipulate. He keeps his fingertips on Caleb's shoulder as he circles behind the other man and then reaches up again to slide the harness off. He doesn't discard it on the floor, instead leaving it on a bench. The jacket comes next, if only to give Caleb some immediate relief from that layer. Then he circles around again for the component pouch. It doesn't require him to kneel, but he does so anyway.
His hands still at the mention of his spells and he peers up at Caleb, golden eyes vibrant in the warm light. Yussa doesn't recall now if he ever brought up that he is the author of such spells, though he supposes a transmutation wizard might run into the Investiture spells if they were interested in such things. Caleb is the sort of transmutation wizard who would be interested in such things. Hm. Oversight on his part - he could have taught his lover these spells long ago.
"It is not often I have guests who have done their homework," he says mildly as he resumes removing the component pouch. He sets it aside to join the holster on the bench.
While he is down there, Yussa runs his hands down along each of Caleb's legs to ensure his boots are loose enough to remove, though he does not do so just yet. Yussa rises in a smooth motion, accentuated by the movement of the robe, and turns his attention to Caleb's belt.

"Have you learned these spells?"
