Caleb sinks into the water slowly as Yussa describes his route. He went up the Coast, then, and then to Issylra. He'd been so tight-lipped about his intentions before he left that Caleb hadn't been sure.

Given that he has never been to any of these places, his interest is immediately piqued. But he finds he is just as curious about Yussa himself as whatever he might have seen or gathered. He considers for a long moment before speaking, and when he does it's with care, almost wariness.

"You...are from Gwardan originally, are you not?"

It feels a little ridiculous, being so hesitant to ask him about where he comes from when Yussa knows nearly all there is to know about Caleb's origins. Though they haven't exactly discussed it directly, after Ikithon's trial and all that was shared there, there was no way to keep those secrets any longer.
